A Note from That KEVIN… 09.11.26

This week, we’re covering some ground.

We start in Sicily, where one of the island’s most revealing dishes isn’t pasta at all — it’s couscous. Then it’s back to America and Fort McHenry, standing where Francis Scott Key watched through the night and saw that enormous American flag still flying over Baltimore Harbor.

In Los Angeles, we’re looking ahead to The Art of Lucas and the opening of George Lucas’s remarkable new museum devoted not merely to Star Wars, but to the art of storytelling itself.

Then we eat.

Nashville gives us two stops worth knowing — handmade pasta and sea urchin at Iggy’s, followed by breakfast tacos and smoked brisket at Ladybird Taco. And in the Bronx, we return to Arthur Avenue, America’s real Little Italy, where more than a century of food, family and tradition can still be tasted on the same few blocks.

We also take you inside SING! 2026, the extraordinary Getty Music conference in Nashville. Our coverage there produced some genuinely memorable conversations about worship, faith, culture — and, perhaps surprisingly, artificial intelligence.

AI was a major topic of conversation at SING. Both Wes Huff and John Lennox addressed it, and I had the opportunity to introduce them to the people behind Dominion.chat — a fascinating project approaching AI from a distinctly Christian worldview.

And here’s something for you: Dominion is giving away 100 free one-year subscriptions. You can enter through the promotions page at ThatKEVINShow.com.

While you’re there, check out the podcasts from our SING broadcasts. We had access to some remarkable people, and the behind-the-scenes conversations went places I wasn’t necessarily expecting them to go.

Finally, Yesterday The Same, the new worship single from the TEA Collective, is out.

And for churches and worship leaders, we’re making the complete worship leader packet available free, simply for the asking.

That’s intentional.

This is a song that declares the glory and worth of Jesus Christ. We don’t believe helping His people sing it should be a transaction. We want it to be an offering — carried into churches and sung by His people back to Him.

So if your church can use it, ask us. It’s yours.

All for now.

Thanks, as always, for joining us on the way.

And a special thanks to MACH Funding for helping make this week’s journey possible.
