LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 1, 2025--

Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC), a mission-driven institute dedicated to pediatric musculoskeletal care, celebrated the success of its 2025 Swing for Kids Golf Classic at Virginia Country Club. Launched in 1990, this annual event raised vital funds to provide x-rays, casts, braces, and expert treatment, made possible by the community’s generosity at events like this.

The day featured a shamble-format tournament with a 10:30 a.m. shotgun start, contests including Closest to the Pin and a $50K Hole-in-One prize, and highlights like Tequio Tequila tastings. Emcee Richard Jefferson led the 5 p.m. program, honoring Christopher Gorham with the Fox Family Community Inspiration Award—marking over a decade of collaboration as a grateful parent whose children thrived under LuskinOIC’s care. Patient Ambassadors and LPGA pros Eunice Cho and Jenny Kim added inspiration. The silent auction closed at 5:30 p.m., with all proceeds supporting LuskinOICare for Kids. Gorham, a steadfast advocate, has partnered with LuskinOIC for over ten years, inspiring families through his involvement. As a mission-based institute, LuskinOIC relies on such community support to deliver life-changing care, serving over 60,000 patient visits annually in alliance with UCLA Health.
