About Dr. Zahra Tabassian, MD

Dr. Tabassian is a double-Board certified physician in the State of California, practicing medicine for more than thirty years. She is an executive-faculty member/instructor for the post-graduate residency training program at Centinela Medical Center.

Her innovative approach towards health and wellness has been transformative over the medical landscape and has infused new vitality and inspiration in the community at large.
Dr. Tabassian entered medical school at Tehran University in Iran, at age 16, and commenced her internship and residency training at the prestigious Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, in 1987.

Following completion of her internal medicine training in 1990, she began her fellowship in the field of nephrology (the subspecialty of kidney disease) at UCLA in California. Upon graduating from her nephrology fellowship in 1992, Dr. Tabassian began practicing medicine in the most blighted, under-served communities desperately in need of her expertise in Inglewood, California.

Dr. Tabassian has authored four books, Dance to the Music of Your Soul, My Dance to Life, The Covid Killers, and My Daughter, My Dad, now available on Amazon.

Highlights of Dr. Tabassian's career include lecturing to colleagues and doctors-in-training in the forum of continuing medical education (CME) platforms and ongoing training for the post-graduate physicians. Her philanthropy has taken her across the United States and beyond, to Nigeria, Africa, on medical missions, spreading her message of hope, health, inspiration, and spiritual guidance to those most in need.

Dr. Tabassian’s concentration remains fixed on her passionate conviction that through "wholeness" of the individual (mind, body, soul), the disease process can be significantly arrested and even reversed. Pre-diabetes, diabetes, and kidney disease have affected more than half the population of this nation and these numbers continue to increase exponentially on an annual basis. She has devoted a major focus of her practice to prevention of dialysis and has converted one of her medical offices from Angel Kidney Care Dialysis to Angel Kidney Care Dialysis Prevention.

Utilizing her methodology, Dance to the Music of Your Soul, which embodies music and joyful movement married to the power of faith and spiritual conviction, Dr. Tabassian promotes healthy diets and lifestyles, improving lives worldwide. She maintains that the cornerstone to sustaining health is Inner Happiness (happiness from within) in an stress-free environment which is filled with hope and a creative spirit, boasting unconditional love.
