On today’s edition of The Scott Jennings Show, Scott kicks off the week from Louisville with the latest on the Iran conflict and the Strait of Hormuz, arguing that U.S. military operations have kept the vital shipping route open while examining why Americans are still facing high diesel and fuel prices. Scott also weighs Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ push for welfare-to-work requirements before Texas Rep. Brandon Gill joins the show to discuss the approaching midterms, affordability, immigration, government spending, birthright citizenship and SNAP reform. Scott then turns to Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s push for the SAVE America Act and the latest legal fight surrounding the Lindsay Clancy mistrial. In Hour Two, longtime university leader Gordon Gee breaks down the bipartisan Protect College Sports Act and the future of NIL, transfers, revenue sharing and athlete protections, while Scott also previews President Trump’s expected announcement of a proposed $15 billion steel plant in Iowa that could create thousands of construction jobs and at least 1,750 permanent positions.
