MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Kaleb Johnson rushed for a career-high 206 yards and three touchdowns, with two scores in a dominant third quarter that propelled Iowa past Minnesota for a 31-14 victory that gave the Floyd of Rosedale bronze pig trophy back to the Hawkeyes. Iowa lost 12-10 at home to the Gophers last year after a late punt return touchdown was negated by a controversial penalty. Johnson leads the NCAA with 685 rushing yards in four games. Max Brosmer threw second-quarter touchdown passes to Jameson Geers and Elijah Spencer to give the Gophers a 14-7 lead. Iowa is 3-1. Minnesota fell to 2-2.
