“Fortune congratulates the companies that made the cut for the Best Workplaces for Women,” said Fortune Editor-in-Chief Alyson Shontell. “Based on survey responses of so many women nationwide, these companies clearly demonstrate they have created workplaces where many feel valued, supported, and encouraged to do their best work.”

To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place To Work analyzed the survey responses of over 600,000 women who work for Great Place To Work Certified™ companies that were eligible for the list. To be considered, a company must employ at least 50 women, have at least 20 percent of non-executive managers who are women, and at least one female C-suite executive.

Great Place To Work looked at the gender balance of each workplace, how it compares Bureau of Labor Statistics industry data, and how representation changes as women rise from front-line positions to the board of directors. Honorees are selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for women regardless of job role, race, sexual orientation, work status, or other demographic identifier.

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognized once again by Fortune and Great Place to Work and included among the organizations whose culture reflects ‘a genuine commitment to meet the diversity of their people’s needs inside and outside the workplace,’” said Chief Human Resources Officer Anne-Marie Diouf. “We want to be an employer of choice for women, and we demonstrate that through our commitment to pay equity, gender inclusive benefits and leave and flexible work options. When women at Symetra are empowered and feel equitable in ways big and small, we are a better company.”

In addition to consecutive Fortune Best Workplaces for Women honors, Symetra’s recent workplace awards and recognition include Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance (2024, 2023), Fortune Best Workplaces for Millennials™ (2024), and Forbes America’s Best Midsize Employers (2023).
