Media Urge Democrats to Impeach Trump Following Cohen Filing

As soon as New York prosecutors filed charges last week that allege President Trump directed attorney Michael Cohen to make hush payments, Democrats and left-wing media were practically falling over themselves to call for Trump’s impeachment.

As Grabien reports, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell and Ali Velshi said Trump “must be impeached.”

Velshi urged Democratic congressman Joaquin Castro to impeach Trump, claiming the filing described “the harm done to democracy.”

And MSNBC’s Eddie Glaude Jr. said that “democracy is at stake” and Democrats would be “held accountable for abdicating their responsibility” if they stop short of impeaching Trump. On Meet the Press Sunday,

The Boston Herald’s Kimberly Atkins said the House of Representatives has a “duty” to bring impeachment charges.
