Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation Opens Applications for 2026/2027 Academic Scholarships

MALVERN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 4, 2026--

Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its 2026/2027 academic scholarship program. This annual initiative provides financial support to residents pursuing higher education, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to empowering students and strengthening communities.

“Education is a powerful tool for transformation, and by supporting these scholars, we’re helping shape leaders who will positively impact their communities for years to come,” said Sean Kent, President, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation.

To be eligible for a Foundation scholarship, applicants must:

  • Reside in a Balfour Beatty Communities-owned or managed military, student housing, or multifamily community
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrate active participation in extracurricular activities
  • Plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school during the 2026/2027 academic year

Applicants are also required to submit an original essay outlining their educational goals, aspirations, and how the scholarship will help advance their academic journey.

Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over 700 scholarships totaling more than $1.9 million, helping students living in Balfour Beatty Communities owned or managed properties pursue their dreams.
