Here at Salem Media Group L.A., you and your family’s safety is our priority.  Being prepared for an emergency is important.

Are you prepared for El Nino’s storms? No matter where you live, be aware of flood hazards, especially in low lying areas, near water or recent burn areas.

Before the storm, sign up for alerts, make a family plan and pack supplies for you and your pets. Prepare your home, clean gutters and drains. And pick-up sand bags from your local fire station.

During severe weather, be aware of water levels in drainage channels, streams and on the shore. Follow official instructions and alerts. Never drive or walk through a flooded street. And stay away from any fallen power lines.

After the storm, check hillsides and photograph any property damage for your insurance. Report flooding, fallen trees, or clogged storm drains.
