  • Broadcasts get a major upgradewith T-Mobile 5G. Broadcast programming including T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage — a unique, fan-first spin on the pregame show — and NBC Sports live broadcast will use wireless cameras on a high-speed, low-latency 5G private network to capture key moments.
  • T-Mobile is leveling up the fan experience. With smart tools in the Ryder Cup Mobile App like Seat Finder and AI-enabled Roar Moment notifications that help fans find the best views and catch every big moment in real time.

  • Event operations get upleveled with network slicing. Not only will network slicing help ensure ticket scanners, concessions operations and more stay connected — it will also help connect critical event staff. “The Ryder Cup is more than a golf tournament — it’s a sports moment that captures passion, rivalry, and tradition on a global scale,” said Mo Katibeh, CMO, T-Mobile Business Group. “It’s the perfect stage to demonstrate how T-Mobile 5G is transforming the live event experience. From 5G-powered broadcast innovation to real-time fan experience enhancements, we’re unlocking entirely new ways to experience the game — on their phone, on their TV and everywhere in between. This is the future of sports entertainment, powered by America’s Best Mobile Network.” 1

T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage

Live from the most iconic and electric first tee in golf, this first-of-its-kind pregame show will make its debut at the Ryder Cup in Farmingdale, NY. The PGA of America and T-Mobile will broadcast T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage each match day from the first tee where the energy hits max volume before a single shot is taken. The show brings game day energy from host Colin Jost and celebrity guests, comedians, golf-loving stars and roaming reporters as they share fan-charged moments before the golf action tees off. Featuring spotlights on the storied 5G Fan Dash to secure the best seat in the house at the first tee, fan interviews and spotlight content to capture the vibes on the course, T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage is the perfect start to the competition’s action.

T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage is being produced by Peyton and Eli Manning’s Omaha Productions in partnership with ProShop Studios and will be Omaha Production’s first-ever 5G-enabled production powered by a 5G private network from T-Mobile for Business’ Advanced Network Solutions (ANS). Staged from a custom-built set at the first tee, Omaha Productions will bring fans up close to all the action at Bethpage Black.

“There’s nothing like the first tee at a Ryder Cup,” said Alex Tyner, Head of Innovation & Technology, Omaha Productions. “And thanks to our ability to use 5G-connected cameras and remote production technology, T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage will put fans right in the heart of that excitement like never before.”

T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage will air live from the Ryder Cup’s first tee Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. ET and Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon ET. Tune in on RyderCup.com, the Ryder Cup Mobile App, YouTube and Peacock.

“There’s no better way to capture the global spectacle of the Ryder Cup than immersing fans at home with the fan excitement and celebrity at the first tee,” said Jeff Price, Chief Commercial and Philanthropy Officer, PGA of America. “Whether its enabling a never-before-seen perspective of this environment, or connecting fans to the awe even the world’s most traveled celebrities will experience, T-Mobile will deliver the impact that its network can have on golf’s biggest stage.”

The Fan Experience, Powered by T-Mobile

Inside the course, the Ryder Cup mobile app is rich with features to improve the fan experience. Fans can use Seat Finder, an AI tool that scans real-time video feeds from 50 cameras to help them find coveted seats in grandstands or gauge lines in key areas. Fans can also access Roar Moments, which sends top highlight clips straight to their phone moments after they happen, so they don’t miss a second of the action.

VIP vibes are on deck at Club Magenta, T-Mobile’s exclusive lounge experience at Ryder Cup. T-Mobile members — and up to two guests — can get exclusive giveaways like lawn chairs or Ryder Cup beanies, complimentary charging, beverage discounts and more. 2 Fans can also test out their swing using an interactive golf swing analysis tool and check out appearances from special guests, including LPGA Tour Legend Michelle Wie West and Thursday Night Football Analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick. Club Magenta is open Sept. 24 – 27 from 7 a.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET and Sept. 23 and 28 from 7:30 a.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET.

There’s also more for fans to experience at T-Mobile's Times Square store (1535 Broadway Ste 0161A) during Ryder Cup week. T-Mobile is giving away pairs of tickets during a special in-store giveaway that is open to anybody. Just stop by the store in person and enter for a chance to win. 3 Plus, members can snag limited-edition swag to celebrate the Ryder Cup in style. And T-Mobile members that show their Magenta Pass in the T-Life app can walk out with one of four limited-edition beanies. These offers are available only in the store between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. All fans can be virtually transported to Bethpage Black to sink their best putt using T-Mobile’s 5G-powered AR PuttView experience. The T-Mobile Times Square store will be open Sept. 22 – Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

T-Mobile's 5G Powers the Event from Start to Finish

The T-Mobile 5G network is the backbone that connects broadcast, point of sale transactions, event photographers and key staff at the Ryder Cup.

  • 5G Broadcast: As the official Ryder Cup broadcaster, NBC Sports will be using a dedicated 5G private network from T-Mobile to connect untethered 5G cameras capturing full HDR footage and broadcasting to viewers around the world. The flexibility of 5G-connected cameras enables broadcasters to immerse viewers into the famous First Tee walkup and capture the fan energy like never before. A 5G-connected drone will capture views above the course, wireless wearable cams will showcase unique POVs and capture interviews from the first tee and robotic cameras will bring fans up close to all the action.
  • Smoother Operations: Network slicing helps ensure ticket scanners, concessions operations and even the autonomous, AI-enabled ball picker at the practice range stay fully connected even with tens of thousands of fans from around the world in attendance at Bethpage Black.
  • Enhanced Connectivity for Mission-Critical Staff: For the first time at a PGA of America event, first responders will use T-Priority to get the highest priority on the network so they can stay connected, even in times of severe network congestion. And, essential staff from PGA of America will use SuperMobile — the first and only business plan to combine intelligent performance, built-in security and seamless satellite coverage. SuperMobile provides intelligent connectivity that adapts to the network needs of the critical operations team in real time as they coordinate athlete logistics, communicate with safety teams and keep key leaders informed.
  • Real-Time Photo and Video Uploads: Event photographers will use T-Mobile’s 5G network and Sony PDT transmitters to upload their photos to remote editors instantly — no runners, no SD cards and virtually no delays.
