President Donald Trump addressed the nation from the White House briefing room after the deadly midair crash of a military helicopter and American Airlines flight.

“I speak to you this morning in an hour of anguish,” Trump said.

The president took aim at Joe Biden for drastically lowering the standards for air traffic controllers — something he said he changed the minute he got into office. Trump also focused on how poorly the Department of Transportation was run over the last four years. American Airlines plane was carrying 64 people, and three were on board the helicopter.
