SAN DIEGO (AP) — A man who sold fentanyl-laced pills that killed a 15-year-old San Diego County boy has been sentenced to 13 years in federal prison. Authorities say 21-year-old Kaylar Beltranlap was sentenced Tuesday for distributing fentanyl. Prosecutors say that in 2021, he made an online drug transaction to sell Clark Salveron counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl. The Coronado teen was found dead the next day in his bedroom from acute fentanyl intoxication. He pleaded guilty last July.
