DURHAM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 19, 2025--

Sightview, the only electronic health record and practice management partner focused solely on eyecare, announces the appointment of Jeff Macomber as chief technology officer. Jeff will apply his expertise in specialty healthcare technology to modernize and unify Sightview’s offerings, including expediting innovation processes to more quickly bring new features and functionality to market.

Jeff has grown his career in technology and software engineering over more than twenty years. He has held pivotal executive and leadership positions at technology companies like Piksel Inc. and KIT Digital, and at specialty care technology organizations like Modernizing Medicine and Firstday Healthcare. Jeff will use his industry expertise to guide Sightview’s development teams, focusing on advancing existing products and creating new tools to fit the needs of modern eyecare providers.

“Our number one priority is our customers, and we are dedicated to delivering the most advanced and innovative products in the market,” said Tycene Fritcher, CEO of Sightview. “Jeff knows the market and is respected for creating solid teams and enacting visionary strategies to develop secure, scalable and lasting solutions. We’re thrilled to have him on our team.”

Jeff’s appointment comes after several new executive appointments and a Sightview brand refresh. He assumes a key role as the organization refocuses efforts on innovation and client success under its new leadership and vision.

“Sightview is an established name in eyecare, and we have a remarkable technology base to build on,” said Macomber. “Our clients have used our tools for a long time because they work, but there’s still a lot we can do on the backend to make the products more useful and modern, and on the front end to make them feel more in line with today’s technologies. Plus, of course, we’ll find ways to leverage new functionality and advancements like AI to take our solutions to the next level. I’m excited to be part of a team with such a strong direction and focus on the future.”
