Unequal Treatment in the Eyes of the Law? Manafort Faces 305 Years in Prison for Tax Fraud

As the trial against former Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort gets underway, President Trump tweeted today suggesting Manafort is being treated worse than legendary mob boss Al Capone.

He also asked, "Where is the Russian collusion?"

Trump makes a good point.

The alleged crimes against Manafort levied by Special Counsel Robert Mueller have nothing to do with Trump, the Trump campaign, collusion or Russia. And the treatment of Manafort appears excessive.

Tuesday night, Tucker Carlson noted Manafort had his bail revoked, is in solitary confinement for 23 hours every day, and faces 305 years in prison for tax evasion crimes.

The average sentence for tax fraud in this country is a year and three months and the average violent felon receives just six-and-a-half years behind bars.
