Why Isn't The Education Freedom Tax Credit Nationwide?

Governor Glenn Youngkin announced the launch of Empowering America's Parents, a 501(c)(4) organization that advocates for nationwide adoption of the education freedom tax credit. The program, included in President Trump's Working Families Tax Cut Act, provides scholarships funded by private donations and supported by a federal tax credit, helping families pay for tuition, tutoring, and other educational services. Youngkin argues that the scholarships do not reduce state K–12 funding and are available to all families, especially those with the greatest need. He encouraged residents to urge governors in states that have not yet opted into the program to do so, emphasizing its potential to expand educational opportunities.
